We then decided that Tubes, Rods and Bulbs was too hard to say and would end up being shortened down to TRB and we didn’t like that, so we agreed to make it The Tubes. Back then, the tube or boom tube was slang for television and we thought that’s would be good because we’re visual and we want to be on TV.
