Fright Nights will not operate as usual in 2021, and the haunted houses will not be open this year. This October, Playland once again transforms into a Halloween-themed experience including thrill rides, creepy décor, scary characters and live performances.
Do you have to pay extra for Fright Night mazes?
Note: scare mazes require an additional paid ticket, where you will be issued a time allocation; therefore, the Ride Access Pass is not needed.
Can Thorpe Park be sold out?
We will reopen under limited capacity with pre-booked tickets only and will continue to assess these responses on a daily basis. Therefore availability is limited and dates may sell out. Please note: Everyone, including Passholders, will need to pre-book a ticket online to guarantee entry.
Can they touch you at Fright Night?
Covid measures include the enforcement of masks on most rides, scare mazes and within the scare zones themselves, there’s also social distancing markers and reminders to keep your space from other groups; the actors will get within approx 1m of you, they are also wearing masks, and they will not touch you.
Is there food at Fright Night?
No outside food or beverages are permitted. We do have a Beer Before Fear tent where we sell beer and wine, but only three drink limit to a customer. To keep our actors safe on the attractions, persons that are intoxicated will be removed from the attraction and forfeited their ticket.
What day does Fright Fest end?
Beginning this weekend, Saturday, September 25, Fright Fest kicks off its 21st season with 16 select dates through October 31. The event will feature an all-new fall family fun event BOO—during the day, and terrifying premium haunted attractions, scare zones, and Halloween-themed shows at night.

Beware that vouchers are ONLY redeemable against STANDARD Thorpe park ticket. So if you are after a student or concession ticket, you can’t buy this with Tesco’s vouchers. The same applies to car park fees, you have to pay for this in full separately.
Is fright night really scary?
Is it loud or scary? Hells yes! That said, Fright Night isn’t an overly frightening movie. There are plenty of scary moments but many of them are done with a wink and a smile, making Fright Night more of a fun horror movie than one that will give you nightmares for weeks to come.
Can I wear a costume to Fright Night?
Only “limited” Halloween costumes are allowed on site. However, at no time can a park visitor wear a costume that conceals their face. No masks or face paint are allowed. For safety reasons, only actors will be allowed to wear masks or facial disguises inside the amusement park.
