What can you use ASIFlex for?

The ASIFlex Card can be used at health care providers that accept VISA® and certain retail merchants that inventory eligible health care products. It is not accepted at restaurants, gas stations, department stores, etc. At the point-of-sale, simply present your card for payment.

What can I buy with my ASIFlex card?

Covered Expenses Include:

  • Medical and dental deductibles and co-payments.
  • Many over-the-counter (OTC) medicines (see the OTC Guide for more information)
  • Eye Exams, contact lenses, and glasses.
  • Physical therapy.
  • Chiropractic care.
  • Hearing aids.
  • Smoking cessation items(may require a prescription)

What is FSA dependent care?

A Dependent Care FSA (DCFSA) is a pre-tax benefit account used to pay for eligible dependent care services, such as preschool, summer day camp, before or after school programs, and child or adult daycare.

Can I use my flex card for gas?

You can use them just about anywhere and for just about anything. Grocery stores, pharmacies, gas stations, clothing shops, doctors’ offices, bus stations … you name it, you can probably pay with a card there.

What is Flex card?

A Flex Card is a stored value card that reflects the balance of your medical and/or dependent care reimbursement account or flexible spending account. When the Flex Card is swiped, the funds are immediately and directly withdrawn from your account.

Can I use my FSA card at Walmart stores?

Wal-Mart Stores implements a technology solution to enable customers to use flexible spending account (FSA) debit cards. The customer can use an FSA card for payment of FSA eligible products, and use another form of payment for the non-FSA products.

Is Apple Watch FSA eligible?

Apple Watches are not considered medical devices and therefore cannot be bought with FSA funds. Even if a doctor says it’s a medical necessity there’s nothing that states Apple Watch is a medical device.

Is FSA dependent care worth it?

The dependent care FSA is usually a better deal, especially as your income gets higher. The child care tax credit can be worth 20% to 35% of up to $3,000 in child care expenses if you have one eligible child, or up to $6,000 in expenses for two or more children. There’s no income limit to qualify.

What happens to unused dependent care FSA?

In typical years, any unused money in your health or dependent care FSA account at the end of the plan year (often December) is forfeited. However, some employers give you a 2.5-month grace period to spend the money. Or, for a health-care FSA only, you may be permitted to carry over $550 into the next year.
