What is a morph creature?

Is morph a triggered ability?

THE BASICS. Morph does not use the stack, but triggered abilities do. You cannot respond to morph, but you can respond to abilities that trigger whenever a creature is turned face-up. They are two separate events.

Is a morph a token?

No. Both the morph and manifest abilities that allow you to have a face-down permanent apply only to cards (morph works on creature cards in your hand, and manifest on cards from your library).

Does Morphe have summoning sickness?

No, it won’t have “summoning sickness” unless it already had it. Turning the card face up (“morphing”) just changes its characteristics, just like Giant Growth does. Turning the card face up doesn’t give or take away “summoning sickness” any more than Giant Growth does.

Can you counter a morph ability?

Can you counter the morph ability when it is played with a “counter target spell or ability” type spell? No. Turning a creature face-up using the Morph ability is a special action, and doesn’t use the stack.

Can creatures turned face down with Ixidron be turned face up?

You can turn them face up, if you have a means to turn them face up. Ixidron itself doesn’t provide such means, but morph and megamorph do. Ixidor, Reality Sculptor can turn them face up as well. If a nonmorph card is turned face down by Ixidron, there is no inherent way to turn it face up again.

Does flipping a morph count as entering the battlefield?

To answer the other part of your question, turning a creature face up does not trigger anything that looks for a creature entering the battlefield.

Can you stifle a morph ability?

Clarify on #2 – several creatures with Morph have abilities that trigger when you turn them face up – those triggered abilities can be hit with a Stifle.

Does morph have haste?

Morph means: You may cast this card as a 2/2 face-down creature with no text, no name, no subtypes, and no mana cost by paying {3} rather than paying its mana cost. There’s nothing in there about having haste, so like all creatures, it has summoning sickness.
