Will your ears close up after 0g?

Some people see their ears close at 0g, but it’s not guaranteed. It also depends on how you treated your ears during, after, and between each stretch. Skipping sizes, not waiting long enough between sizing up, and not cleaning and moisturizing your ears can all decrease your chances of them ever closing properly.

What is the next size after 0g?

When you get to 0g, the next size is 00g (pronounced “double zero gauge”). 00g is equal to about 3/8 of an inch. After 00g, we run out of gauge sizes, so we use fractions of an inch instead. The next size after 00g is 7/16″.

When should I start dead stretching?

Whilst tapers are great to safely assist with the transition of larger gauge piece of jewellery, dead stretching should only be used when your current jewellery is getting loose.

Will a 0g go back to normal?

Most people can go between 2g (6mm) – 00g (10mm) and expect their ears to revert back to a normal piercing, after a few months of healing. If you want don’t want stretched ears forever, be sure to stretch slowly and never skip sizes.

Can 0 gauges go back to normal?

If you stretch your lobe to 00g or smaller, you are a much better candidate for your ear going back to “normal”. If you stretched your ear a year ago or a few months ago, your ear has a much better chance of shrinking back to its original size than if it has been stretched and fully healed for several years.

Is it bad to dead stretch your ears?

Dead stretching is the process of putting a larger piece of jewellery into the piercing; this is only advisable if it fits in without pressure otherwise you risk a blowout. Ear weights are not recommended for stretching as they can disfigure the piercing if worn for long periods of time.

How long does it take to stretch your ears to 0g?

6g to 4g – 3-4 months. 4g to 2g – 3-4 months. 2g to 0g – 4-5 months. 0g to 00g – 4-6 months.
